GettingOut Visits

Video visits from an Android device

GettingOut Visits is a communication app for people who want to connect with an incarcerated friend or family member through remote video visits. It lets you use an Android phone or tablet instead of a computer, while the incarcerated person joins from a supported facility device. Availability depends on the facility.

Scheduled and on-demand contact

The app supports scheduled video visits when advance planning is needed. At participating facilities, its Visit Now option can also allow a visit to begin without arranging a time in advance. If the person you are trying to reach is unavailable, you can be notified and choose to arrange a visit for later.

What to expect

• Video calls between your mobile device and a facility-supported wireless tablet.
• Remote visits that can be made from home or another suitable location.
• Visit Now access at locations where the feature is available.
• Charges based on the actual visit duration, according to the service information.

Usage and overall reception

GettingOut Visits is published by Viapath and listed in the Communication category. It has recorded more than 1,000,000 installs and a rating of about 3.34 out of 5 from 27,698 reviews.
