Checkers - Online & Offline

Classic Checkers on Android

Checkers - Online & Offline is a board game for players who want a traditional checkers match against other people, the computer or a friend nearby. It supports both online and offline play, making it suitable for quick solo games as well as competitive one-on-one matches. The app is developed by GamoVation and has reached 10,000,000+ installs.

Several Rulesets to Choose From

The game includes multiple regional versions of checkers and draughts. You can play American Checkers on an 8x8 board, International Checkers on a 10x10 board, and variations including Brazilian, Russian, Turkish, Spanish, Italian, Czech and Thai Checkers. This gives experienced players room to compare different movement and capture rules, while newcomers can start with a familiar format.

Offline and Online Matches

Offline mode lets you play against the computer across five difficulty levels, or share a local match with another person. Online mode is built around one-versus-one games against players from around the world. A ranking system, experience levels and achievements add longer-term goals beyond individual matches. You can also customise your profile with checker skins and avatars, and use the in-game chat during online play.

Ratings and Overall Fit

With a rating of 4.5150537 from 249,667 reviews, the app has a large base of player feedback. Its simple touch controls make moving pieces straightforward on a phone, while the range of rulesets and difficulty options gives it broader appeal than a single-format checkers app. It is a practical choice for casual players, local two-player sessions and anyone looking for online draughts matches.
