Amazon Photos: Photo & Video

Cloud backup for photos and videos

Amazon Photos: Photo & Video is a cloud storage and backup app for people who want to keep phone photos and videos available beyond a single device. It automatically saves selected media from an Android phone, helping protect personal pictures if the device is lost, damaged, or replaced. The app is suitable for everyday snapshots, family collections, and users with large libraries who want to browse older images without relying only on local storage.

Full-resolution storage and access

Prime members can store an unlimited number of photos at full resolution, while videos and other storage options remain subject to the account’s terms. Keeping original image quality is useful for users who may later print photos, edit them elsewhere, or simply want a faithful copy of the files captured on their phone. The app also provides access to backed-up media across compatible devices.

Ways to browse and share

Photos and videos can be organised through chronological views and memory-focused displays, making it easier to revisit older events. Search tools can help locate images by details such as dates, places, or objects. Private sharing groups allow invited people to contribute to a shared collection, which can be useful for trips, celebrations, and family albums without posting images publicly.

Amazon device support

For households using Amazon hardware, saved photos can also be viewed on devices such as Echo Show and Fire TV. This turns a cloud gallery into something that can be displayed around the home rather than kept only inside the mobile app.

Amazon Mobile LLC publishes the app in the Photography category. It has a 4.70 rating from more than 1 million reviews and has recorded 50,000,000+ installs, indicating broad use among Android users.
