Zoom Workplace

What Zoom Workplace does

Zoom Workplace is a business communication app for video meetings, team conversations and collaborative work. It suits remote teams, hybrid offices, client-facing professionals and anyone who needs to join or manage work calls from an Android phone. The app brings Zoom’s meeting tools together with messaging and shared work features, so users can move between conversations and live sessions without relying on separate apps.

Meetings and mobile collaboration

The core experience remains video conferencing, with tools for joining meetings, starting calls and staying connected while away from a desk. A live call can be moved between devices, which is useful when a meeting begins on a computer and needs to continue on a phone. Picture-in-picture and split-screen support also help users keep a meeting visible while checking other information on their device.

Work tools beyond video calls

Zoom Workplace extends its business focus through chat, Zoom Docs and virtual whiteboards. These features support written updates, planning, brainstorming and work that does not happen at the same time for every team member. AI Companion can help with tasks such as meeting summaries and drafting content, reducing the need to create notes manually after a call. Some tools may depend on the account, plan or region being used.

Ratings and suitability

With a rating of 4.1 out of 5 from more than 4.5 million reviews and over 1 billion installs, Zoom Workplace is widely used on Android. Its large feature set is most useful for organisations already using Zoom for work. Individuals looking only for occasional video calls may find the broader workspace approach more extensive than necessary. The app is published by zoom.com and listed in the Business category.
